tourist SPOT~ myeongdong!

I guess you guys would have heard of myeongdong whenever
you talk to your friends about seoul (maybe not.. >.<)

Anyway, today I am going to tell you guys about myeongdong
before i go for my winter sleep.. :D

MYEONGDONG

the most tourist gathered attraction

as the old saying, if you go china and you didn't go to the great wall of china,
you have not been there!

same for MYEONGDONG :D

there are several hot spot nearby for example..

N Seoul Tower

and

Myeongdong Cathedral!

so here's a small map for you guys! ^^

a few shops that I would like to recommend..

Firstly,

M plaza!

please note that M plaza has went through renovations so
the interior has been changed but not Zara and Forever 21!
Forever 21 has become much BIGGER!
*hoorays*
and with the restaurants still available at 5th floor ( school food and some donburi store)

next is....

SPAO!

I believe SM fans should know that SPAO is related to SM entertainment.
Also, on the 4th floor, there is a Everysing store for you SM fans craze!

Not only that, I personally think that the prices for SPAO clothes are relatively affordable
so, hop down to Myeong dong now!

Btw, there is all the mid-range brand available at Myeongdong as well,
not mentioning the usual cosmetic brand, there is laneige store, banila co and etc!
for clothes, there is Giordano, Teenie weenie, Gdragon's store BSX, H&M, Uniqlo, and loads more!

Be there and you know what's waiting for ya! ^^

SHOPPING TIME WHEEEEEEEE~

A LAND...

So.. what's a land? @land?
TADDAAHHHH~

So, what is this?!
This is actually a popular shopping store available currently at Myeongdong and garosugil for Koreans~
What kind of clothes style can you find?

A Land's
for more designs, please visit http://www.a-land.co.kr/shop/main/index.php
This is an example of what you can find in A land.
The thing I like about A land is their quality.
Some may be pricey from 30-100 and above,
but if you can find, there are also great grabs available at 10-20! (especially at the vintage area)

So come on down to A land in either Myeongdong or garosugil's branch!

For Myeongdong's main branch directions, please visit
http://www.a-land.co.kr/shop/main/html.php?htmid=about/aland_store1.htm

For Sinsa station, garosugil branch, please visit

Garosugil.` Tree-lined street

So. oppa gangnam style!
heh.
actually, gangnam is a very big area which consist of
a lot of the subway stations like cheongdamdong,
apgujeong and sinsa station...
SO, today, I'm going to recommend this street that I
personally like it very much and it resembles the
street of Europe~ hehe.
GAROSUGIL! 가로수길
a small map of garosu gil here where you can refer in case you get lost.
but hmm.. its just a street down, how lost can you get? :x
affordable brand for all! you can get to find forever 21( my fav! ), zara, h&m and 8 seconds.
Not only that, you can also find smile market and a land here! ^^v
not just those brand, this place is famous for the local designer's work!

the reason for it being called tree lined street is shown as below:

there's a lot of cafes that are worth visiting as well!

please note that weekends are the peak period so prepare for crowds at cafes!
also, you may even spot some local artiste or models here shopping!!!!

카페베네 caffe bene

Weather is so hot.. ㅠ____ㅠ
살려주세용..

Ice Coffee?! Pat Bing Soo??!!!

EOM_MA!!!

Summer's been a torture!!

Thanks to....

I would say this is a coffee brand that is similar to StarBucks in Singapore..
Because...
Caffe Bene is the largest coffeehouse in South Korea in terms of the number of stores.
As of April 24, 2012, Caffe Bene has 760 outlets in South Korea.
As quoted from wikipedia~

Love its ambience because its so relaxing and the important factor.. COOLING!!
an escape from the summer's heat!! *^^*

OMG look so delicious~ All charging around from 3000won to 9000won?

OMMOOOO~ pat bing soo!! <3<3
costing around 9000won if I am not wrong but its really huge!

Some interesting facts ^^
Caffe Bene features Misugaru, which "consists of black sesame seeds, black bean,
black and brown rice and barley". [2] According to PR web, Misugaru "is
rich in vitamins, calcium, magnesium, molybdenum, folate and selenium!!
Which I guess is good for your body and mine too. ㅋㅋㅋ
It is actually the differentiation from StarBucks and Coffee Bean which stands out from its competitor!!

They also sell ice cream like baskin robins~

I love their branch in DongDaeMun history and culture park because it is so so so big! hehe (its closed ㅠㅠ)

If you want to take a look at their menus, please go to.... http://www.caffebene.co.kr/

School... food? o.O

Guessing that everyone have heard school food before,
but definitely not your school's food but this is a korean fusion restaurant called,
SCHOOL FOOD

I have always dragged brought my friends here for lunch
and they enjoyed it ^^

Also, not to mention the tidy and hmm.. I would say simple but modern interior
where I think the atmosphere is great for dining.

Here are some pictures that I have grabbed from their website so..
here it goes~ ^^

branch in Myeongdong at Mplaza~
you can find Mplaza if you exit from Myeong dong station exit 6, turn left and walk down
you will be able to see uniqlo when you exit, then
you will be able to see .... Missha?
Then forever21!
The entrance is between forever 21 and Zara *^^*

I should warn you if you haven't had your lunch or dinner?
heh heh..

TA-DAH!

MARI!!

DDEOK-POK-KI! SUN-DAE!! MAN-DU!!! (it means dumpling in Korea)

NAE-NG MYE-ON~ slurps >.<

and finally.. cheol-pan-bok-keum-bab!
bokkeumbab is fried rice (for your info)

so how was the temptation?
hehe

Perhaps I would rank it 7*/10*
It is a bit pricey for the ddeokbokki since you can eat cheaper ones outside..
but some of their dishes taste really really REALLLY GOOD. esp the ones
with the pictures on top ㅋㅋ

SO!

head down to School FoOd today! ^^
btw! they have a break between 3-5 if I am not wrong,
so please avoid that period! :D

Korean lesson time!

I would like to take orders~~
ju-mun-hal-ke-yo 주문할게요

just something random.. a girl's secret.

Hello peeps!

I guess you will notice one very significant
thing in korea drama/ variety show, except gag show
that there's something that all female desires.. and perhaps have~

THAT IS!

..

..
..

a slim and SEXY body ; )

Sad to say, Singaporean girls do not care much about their
body sizes, except some who really do something to
keep their body weight light..

Others...

eh hem. *sorry >.<*

but. Please note.

I AM NOT SAYING BAD FAT GIRLS are ugly okay!

My mum is fat too but i LOVE HER A LOT.

Just saying, if you DO want to look PRETTY,
I believe that slim body does make a part in it. ^^

of course everyone has their own beauty somehow
because..

"beauty holds in the eyes of the beholder"

wow I sound so romantic @_@ hehe

SO.. slim bbbboody...

seems like a far far VERY FAR away's dream..

but, ITS DEFINITELY NOT.

diet is one way but certainly not to starve yourself.

it should be done adequately.. step by step.

firstly, start with a healthy diet..
you see a lot of WHO advertisement asking you to take 2 portions of fruits
and vegetables right? it may be right for some people but it may not work
for some people who wants to diet.

BECAUSE

fruits are high in sugar. which happens to be CARBOHYDRATES.

so.. what to eat?!?!

vegetables - baked corns, baked potatoes... (sweet or the normal ones)
meat - does not matter what kind of meat as long as you don't eat the fatty parts.

drink?

plenty of... WATER.
not soft drinks/fruit juice but WATER.

lets say, you LOVE FOOD A LOT.

there's a diet where you can eat AS MUCH AS YOU WANT.
but, just for a meal. ^^

ugly girls are girls that does not even try to become pretty,
pretty girls are girls that does a lot of thing everyday to keep themselves pretty :D :D

of course, you can work hard to become someone who is pretty even without make up
(innocent pretty as I would name it or maybe. simple beauty? hehe)

so here's some pretty ladies with and without make up.

without make up is called as SSAE-NG EO-L in korean..

goo hye sun . actress

song ji hyo . actress
you see her a lot in running man ^^
its kind of like different feeling when you see her before and after make up right~

hyuna . 4 minute (girl group)

sorry but I'm not going to blog about make up in korea.. but perhaps soon?
now I'm going to tell you....

HOW

TO

KEEP

YOUR

LEGS

SLIM.

hehehe

you can take a look at this video from beauty secret ^^

you can just follow what the girl is doing. if you don't understand.. ahaha
or you guys can wait for my video~ eh hehehehe.

okay. BAUS HOUSE

wheeee I've decided to blog about this dog café
THAT I've always recommended to my friends
because its really clean and not so smelly as
compared to other dog cafes that I've visited.

and especially to DOG LOVERS.
personally in Singapore.. I realised there's not much
Dog Cafes or rather it even existed..
But in animal loving Korea, yes they DO exit.
not just dog, but cat, rabbits... whatever you can
call it as a pet, they do have such kind of cafes!!

AMAZING **CLAPCLAPCLAP**

So.. here's..............................

BAUS HOUSE!

please note that it has moved its location since ... last year?
you can take line 2 to hapjeong station exit #3
take a U-turn from there then as you walk further on
you will see a left alleyway with a dog sign 애견카페
walk on 8m (somewhere around there) then its on the right side~

btw, please note that they charge higher on the drink around 6000-8000won~
because it includes entrance fee ^^
they actually have a lot of different species there..

Husky..
Golden retriever..
Pomeranians..
ChiWAWA~
Beagel..
I don't know the name...
Maltese!!
I don't know the name...
I don't know the name...
okay forget it.

bau house! ^^

NAMU!! the princess Pomeranian~

cutie PIE ^^

oh yeah, they actually provide you with a list of dog and their names and photo~

BA RAM!! - it is actually called wind in Korean. hehe.

I just realised I took all the pictures only for pomer....anian.

so I shall end with a picture of my Pomeranian.. TEDDY ^^
a cutie pie that I'm currently having ^^

after so long.. (sorry) here comes... HOOOOONGDAE!

hellooo people! sorry for the wait.

I was lazy busy with practices.. but ok, enough for the craps and here comes your first attraction that I would like to recommend to you guys! ^^

HONGDAE!

the best attraction ever for all visitors who likes club, Club, and more CLUB.
okay not really. haha there's one stretch of shopping street which is also called
the parking street where it is a street with all your trendy clothes and place for you to
look at pretty girls and boys get some fortune telling and perhaps, you may even
get to meet your destined one after that (uhhhhhh, I'm just crapping sorry).

So, before going to Hongdae
[ not mentioning dressing yourself up is important, furthermore it is a fashionistyle street]

TADAHHH~
it's mir's style ^^

okay this stretch is also another place for shopping [more for accessories]
and this is just before how you can go to the playground where
they have free market [usually handmade goods]

and this is the *parking* street that I have mentioned ^^
for this.. the location will be.. uh
in between H & G on the map taken from visit korea where you can see below. ^^

some indie artist that have given some *LIFE* to the surroundings at the playground!!
In Korean, the playground is actually called NO-RI-TOR
[yes the place where they filmed the Gentlema's Dignity where you find CN Blue's Jonghyun performing right in front with Juniel]

    the playground
usually during weekend and perhaps Friday,
you can see some indie bands here playing to earn some pocket money
(it's also a kind of job and a place for them to shine)
so please hop down and support them! *^^*

okay, here's an image of Hongdae ( taken from visit korea)
there's a tourist information centre where you can see a small *i* in purple just above Mario!
please note that exit 5 has changed to exit 9!!!!
you may wish to get a clearer map here

btw, if you want to buy some affordable branded stuffs (other than the usual cosmetics)
    there is Zara, a new H&M! ^^
but actually for branded stuffs I will recommend you guys to go to Myeongdong
    instead where there's more variety~~

oh and i just realised I missed out the CLUBS
whhhich I guess you guys would not like to go! (I'm not a club fan myself.. so yeah)

SO! if you really very seriously want to go club and get drunk and go crazy  enjoy yourself..
    TAKE NOTE!
the last Friday of each month is called the **CLUB DAY**
a wristband-powered event which allows entry to more than a dozen clubs for the price of one.

    **HOORAYYYYYYY**

    but.. ㅠ_____ㅠ

Of course, if it's cheap and so WOW, you can expect long lines at some popular clubs.

here's the club list (which I'm not sure if it has been changed)
Venue: M2, Via, Jokerred, Tool, NB, Q-VO, DD, Saab, Hooper, Ska, O.R, Myeongwolgwan, Evans, FF, WATERCOCK, Freebird, Soundholic, DGBD, Hole, Liveclub Ssam, Spot
(Total of 21 clubs in the area)

some club infos can be found at this link *^^*

NB club is one of the most popular club at this district where it has NB1 and NB2.
uh, heard from some people that NB2 is better compared to NB1 *somehow...*

But please take note that the club culture is different in every country.
So let's say your country is kind of those chill clubbing atmosphere,
don't get shocked in Korea as people do really go crazy wild.
and girls. please be careful because [the same thing]
guys in your country may just leave when you ask them to SCRAM OFF go away,
but in korea.... language barrier and different culture..

so have a safe clubbing experience and PLEASE DON'T go by yourself. and
of course, usually with GUYS that cannot protect you ^^

Some Korean phrases that I would like to share to you guys!
since it's my first lesson so let's start with something easy yeah!
