Chilling at a *서울* bar........

Hi peeps,

Not really sure if there are actually people waiting to read for my post or anything so..... I don't really have the motivation or feel the need to update consistently >.<

HAH.

Anyway, I just went to Busan recently for the BIFF(Busan International Film Festival)
It was great, seeing the citizens participating as well. :D
How I wish I can stand on the stage really soon too.

Anyway I met some nice friends during my stay at the Busan - From Guesthouse which I will shortly do a post about it next time :D

So, as I have mentioned in my title, I actually went to chilled at a bar at myself. Heh. I told my korean friends and they were all like what? ㅠㅠ Why you went there alone........

But, I actually find it quite alright for me to chill at a bar alone (actually I was wishing that there is some handsome guys who will appear somehow quietly **just joking) ㅋㅋ

Anyway so, here I am trying to promote this bar called *MIX & MALT*

the taste of the cocktails - 9/10 (they are really good, especially for girls like me and maybe you? xD)

Ambience - 8/10 There are good music playing inside the house and there is also actually outdoor area as well - for people who enjoy the weather outside but I'm not sure about that since it is really cold at night now but there were plenty of people sitting outside yesterday.....

Service - 6.5/10 So so? I wouldn't say that it is bad but there is nothing particularly good either so.....

Facilities - 7/10 I liked the toilet :D If you go in the ladies, you will understand what I have just said.. ㅋㅋㅋ There is actually a golden retriever in the bar so usually girls will go *OH MY GOD SO CUTE* ㅋㅋㅋ

So if you guys are interested, it is situated at Hyehwa station exit 4 (you got to walk like 5 minutes?)
Once you exit exit 4, turn to your left and you will see a Faceshop and you just walk along the road all the way until you see a traffic junction where you will see dunkin donuts and starbucks at the opposite side of road. So, you walk towards dunkin donuts, and turn left and go into the alley in between dunkin donuts and star bucks. You will reach the destination in about 30 footsteps :D HEH.

BTW. they actually sell coffee and brunch (11-4pm) TOO. Maybe you want to try 낮술? ㅋㅋ it means afternoon drinking alcohol. haha

Have fun guys!

its summer? EAT CHICKEENNNNNN!

I am not really sure why its like popular to
eat chicken during summer in korea
I heard that it is to replenish the energy
that we lose due to the heat?

TODAY's TOPIC : STEAMED CHICKEN (JJIMDAK  찜닭)
**usually they don't come with rice, so you got to order yourself**

I have eaten 2 different kind of branch one.. so here comes ~

봉추 찜닭!

they have branches almost everywhere, esp shopping centres! ^^
I would say it is DELICIOUSSSS~

Here's another brand made by Se7en!
*not as much branches as the above (I'm not that sure though)
so this is how it looks

the HONGDAE branch that is near the Etude (after the carpark street)

picture in the restaurant showing BIG BANG that went to *SHOW FACE*
kyaaaa TOP with specs
(fangirl!!!!, not wait I am not a fangirl but
handsome guy goes by that kind of moment *ahaha)

SO you may include this JJIMDAK into
one of your meals when you are here in KOREAAAAA!

have a great weekend! 좋은 주말 보내세요~

Want to change currency?

So you changed currency back in your homeland
and realise you don't have enough?

Worry not!

You can easily change your currency at
myeongdong OR woori bank!
As I'm a singaporean so naturally I
know where to change for better rates
For SGD of course. HAH.

1. WOORI BANK

Safest place to change your money.  *^^*
also, you can easily find woori bank as well.
I dont recommend the others like hana or keb or kb because
their rates aren't that good you see....

For Banks, please note that they only operates from 9am till 4pm!

After operating hours, you can only exchange
at foreign currency exchange shops~

2. Myeongdong!!
well since its a tourist spot, you can easily
change foreign currency here.
but I would recommend you to compare the
prices around....
uh.. I know one place that is better than woori bank but may be hard to find...

So you exit from myeongdong exit 6 and
walk towards your left, you walk until there is a
cross section and you turn left.. walk on you
will see mango, spao and then uniqlo..
walk further down you will see a cross section
(On your left there will be a spectacle shop)
Turn left and you will spot a very old currency exchange shop..
:D rates are 5won lesser than forex from what I checked last time...
*subject to change I dont take any responsibility*

**usally operates from 10am till 10pm!

So yeapppp!!! ^^ Sometimes changing money in
korea may have a better rate than those in
your country.. so up for you to decide.
Of course you have to change some even
if you decide to change in korea
since u need to take transport first!

Cafe hopping? Go to POEM 카페! ^^

HI~!

So Mireen is back for food paradise <3
But.. I need to diet yet I just couldn't resist myself for
dessert after a meal with my friends
ㅠㅠ

here comes..... OREO BINGSU <3
I personally think this is similar to mcflurry oreo
but its something different to it... hees

honey grapefruit <3 ! kyaaa
I didn't tried this but this seemed to be something popular in korea right now :D
a mixture of sweetness and sourness

they actually have 2 storeys!

here's a peek of their menu!
although it is a little pricey, all coffee
comes with a free cake!!
like....

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

here's another picture to show their decoration~

they actually sell chocolate fondue. kyyyaaaa!
temptations ㅠㅠ
hagen daz is actually selling something similar too..
but.
BUT.
by twice of this price..

WHAT?!

then I should as well get this huh? it looks the same...

So here's a little map of it here, but
hmm.. I think the 명동역 should be a bit more far away...

okay so you exit from exit 6 myeong dong subway mrt station,
you will see UNIQLO.
so you walk further down,
you will see a cross section,
and you turn to your left side towards SPAO.
if you see SPAO. there should be a way towards your right
so you turn in, and you will see VIP restaurant and some small eateries
and your keychain shopping and stuffs.

NOW, as you walk down the road, POEM should be somewhere
near to the end mm..
somewhere near 설빙!
*sorry i forgot what's the shop on the first level >.<

so the shop should look like this on the 2nd level

CHEERS <3

second, walk straight until u see a 명동칼국수 shop where there is an alley downslope
and also the alley sell some old stuff. k now you reach the end of the alley,
you walk towards your right side and you will see an antique clothes shop on your right and walk further down you will see a 고기 (meat) shop on your left.
THE SHOP IS ON YOUR RIGHT SIDE where you have to walk up a bit.
